After Israeli Official Asks Michelle Obama 1 Question – She Can’t Believe the First Lady’s Reply
The ongoing release of Israeli hostages from the terrorist group Hamas has revealed atrocities that have shocked the world. Almost as shocking are reactions from some activists and liberal Democrats who have shown support for the violent attack against Israel.
Former hostages have described the atrocities that include torture and rape of women and children. Such atrocities are not acceptable for any reason, even in a war. These actions should be condemned immediately by anyone with knowledge of them.
What should be unquestionable condemnation toward Hamas has been met with glaring silence from some key political leaders among Democrats. One of those high-profile names is someone Democrats have mentioned as a replacement for Joe Biden as a presidential candidate in 2024.
From The Daily Wire:
A female Israeli official said that when she asked former first lady Michelle Obama to condemn Hamas for its vicious attack on Israeli women including multiple rapes and murders in the October 7 massacre, she was met with silence.
The official, May Golan who is the Minister for the Advancement of the Status of Women of Israel, relayed during an interview Saturday her interaction with Michelle Obama. She pointed out how Obama openly condemned Boko Haram when the terrorist group kidnapped 276 girls from a school in Nigera.
Obama started a social media campaign to bring back the girls and questioned why “would terrorists be so threatened by the prospect of girls going to school that they would break into a dormitory in the middle of the night?” But Obama’s sentiment wasn’t the same for Israel’s women, according to Golan, when asked to condemn Hamas.
Golan said she sent Obama authentic, sworn testimony from people who spoke about the collection of severed female organs from women who had been raped and other shocking actions. She asked for Obama’s response.
“We know that the request has been received,” Golan said. “She is not in a political position; she can certainly respond. Silence from her, from all the other female celebrities.”
Another media outlet reported that Obama spoke shortly after the Oct. 7 massacre by Hamas of Israeli women where she “sympathized” with the victims. There was not report of her condemning the slaughter. The Messenger reported that Obama warned Israelis and their sympathizers not to “harden their hearts” in the face of the murder and savage rape of their women.
“Because when our hearts get hardened because of those kinds of acts, then we lose sight, and we lose our resolve for peace, and that’s something we cannot do,” Obama was reported as saying.
That could make people wonder if she would say that if members of her family suffered the same fate as the Israelis.
