Blue cities hosted send-off pride events over the weekend as the month of June came to its end. They featured a rally and march, and included notable names like Megan Rapinoe.

Clips of the whole ordeal went viral, as many disturbing moments–most of which depicted nudity and explicit sexual imagery and themes in public–caused alarm amongst X users.

Critics swiftly blasted the nudity at the San Francisco pride event specifically, due to children being in attendance.

“San Francisco pride was the most shocking and disturbing event that I’ve ever witnessed,” Savannah Hernandez posted on X.

“Shame on every parent who brought their child to this event and shame on the city for allowing what could only be described as a giant public orgy.”

A couple moments that garnered widespread attention was after Tenet Media’s Tayler Hansen conducted a series of interviews with nudists and other attendees at the pride event.

In one clip Hansen pressed a cop about the legality of public nudity in front of children.

The officer explained that nudity is permitted “within certain boundaries” and becomes illegal only if done for “sexual gratification.”

This explanation was echoed by an Oregon police officer early June following a bizarre moment when a naked person exposed themselves in front of a TikToker’s son.

“Even with kids, it’s fine to be nudist as long as there’s no masturbation or anything like that?” Hansen asked the female cop in the now viral exchange.

“Yeah,” she responded, with another officer nodding in agreement.

Hansen’s interviews revealed that nearly all nude attendees dismissed concerns about the presence of children.

WARNING – GRAPHIC CONTENT:

“Should nudity be more welcoming around kids?” he asked one man, to which he immediately responded, “Yes.”

The man with his face painted continued: “None of the crybabies and parents who complain about it can never explain exactly how a child is harmed by seeing a human body.”

“Every study that’s been done on the subject shows that it’s not harmful.”

Another clothed interviewee shared a similar view. “I think that kids are born naked and that as long as there’s not any kind of sexuality added to it, that it’s just nude,” he said.

“That’s all it is,” he added before removing his covering and continuing the interview naked.

One participant quipped, “We were all born this way, why be ashamed of it?”

Another said, “If you don’t want your kids to see what goes on at Pride, don’t bring them.”

“Not everything needs to be kid-friendly.”

Hansen also spoke with a mother and her children, who were near the event to use a playground.

The mother expressed that her nine-year-old daughter felt “uncomfortable” with the naked men nearby, and they tried to avert their eyes.

The daughter mentioned that a naked man wearing only a mask made her feel “grossed out.”

US Women’s soccer star Megan Rapinoe also made headlines over the weekend after she was confronted at Seattle Pride.

Rapinoe, who was the Grand Marshall of the event, was questioned by a Post Millennial reporter: “Your US Women’s soccer team famously lost to high school boys, do you really think it’s fair for these same boys to be competing in girls’ sports?”

“Do you think it’s fair? Why should trans people should compete against young girls? Do you think they’re gonna get hurt?”

Rapinoe did not respond, and instead picked up her solo cup while a security guard got in between the Marshall and reporter.
