Zuckerberg Just Admitted the Biden Administration Pressured Him to Censor a Variety of Content

For years, many of us have suspected the Joe Biden administration of blatantly engaging in social media censorship. Now, that has finally been confirmed.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg admitted on Monday that the Biden/Harris administration has pressured Facebook, which he owns, to censor social media users. He admitted this in a bombshell letter to the House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH).

Zuckerberg expressed his shame at allowing the U.S. government to interfere in social media to such an extent. He pledged to take steps to ensure that this would never happen again.

“In 2021, senior officials from the Biden Administration, including the White House, repeatedly pressured our teams for months to censor certain COVID-19 content, including humor and satire, and expressed a lot of frustration with our teams when we didn’t agree,” he said in the letter. “Ultimately, it was our decision whether or not to take content down, and we own our decisions, including COVID-19-related changes we made to our enforcement in the wake of this pressure.”

“I believe the government pressure was wrong, and I regret that we were not more outspoken about it,” he continued. “I also think we made some choices that. with the benefit of hindsight and new information, we wouldn’t make today. Like I said to our teams at the time, I feel strongly that we should not compromise our content standards due to pressure from any Administration in either direction — and we’re ready to push back if something like this happens again.”

Not stopping there, Zuckerberg also admitted that Facebook made a mistake in demoting a New York Post story during the 2020 election about Hunter Biden’s laptop. Facebook did this after Biden officials falsely suggested that the story was part of a “Russian disinformation operation.”

“It’s since been made clear that the reporting was not Russian disinformation, and in retrospect, we shouldn’t have demoted the story,” Zuckerberg said. “We’ve changed our policies and processes to make sure this doesn’t happen again – for instance, we no longer temporarily demote things in the U.S. while waiting for fact-checkers.”

It’s about time!

Conservatives Knew This All Along

This revelation will come as no surprise to any conservative who has been on social media as of late.

During COVID-19, anyone who dared to question the pandemic in any way often found themselves being censored online. Sites like Facebook punished those who questioned the origins of COVID-19 and censored anyone who questioned the way the government was responding to the pandemic.

Perhaps the worst forms of censorship were saved for those questioning masks and lockdowns. Negativity about either of those practices was simply not tolerated by the woke left. Therefore, it was effectively banned on social media.

Then, during the 2020 election, it became hopelessly clear that social media was censoring the Hunter Biden laptop story. Never mind that the laptop allegations turned out to be true. Woke Facebook still did its duty by submitting to Team Biden and burying it.

This shows once again that the Democrat Party is the anti-free speech party. They want as little open discourse on social media as possible. If Americans truly were free to share ideas on social media uncensored, more voters might realize how much leftwing policies have failed our country over the past few years. That’s why now more than ever, Democrats want to control what can and can’t be shared online.

While we’re glad Zuckerberg finally admitted the truth, this also feels like a little too little, too late. The only thing Zuckerberg can do now is follow through with his promise never to let anything like this happen again.
