Tim Walz Desperately Backtracks After Calling for Abolishment of The Electoral College
It’s no secret that the Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has become a major liability to Kamala Harris’ campaign. Since being named as her running mate, Walz has been caught in a slew of lies. These falsehoods have become a PR nightmare for Harris.
Things got even worse earlier this week when Walz called for the Electoral College to be abolished.
“I think all of us know the Electoral College needs to go,” Walz said during a Democrat fundraiser at the home of California Governor Gavin Newsom. “We need a national popular vote, but that’s not the world we live in.”
The Harris campaign immediately tried to distance themselves from Walz’s comments by saying that they do not in fact want to abolish the Electoral College. Walz was asked about this on Thursday in an interview with ABC News’ Michael Strahan.
“You said, ‘I think all of us know the Electoral College needs to go,’” Strahan said. “But the campaign came out later that night, and they said that’s not their stance.”
From Fox News:
“The point I’m trying to make is that there’s folks that feel every vote must count in every state, and I think some of the folks feel that’s not the case,” Walz said. “We’re out there making the case that the campaign’s position is clear, that that’s not their position. Their position and my position is to make sure that everybody understands their vote, no matter what state they’re in, matters.”“So that’s something you and Vice President Harris disagree on,” Strahan asked.
“Um, I have spoken about it in the past, that she’s been very clear on this, and the campaign and my position is the campaign’s position,” Walz responded.
Both Harris and Walz have spent months falsely trying to portray themselves as moderates. In reality, they are each radical liberals who are hellbent on destroying the very foundations that this country is built on.
Walz Said The Quiet Part Out Loud
Walz’s comments about the Electoral College were him essentially saying the quiet part out loud. It gave American voters a peak at the radical plans that he and Harris have for this country if they come to power.
The two of them will do and say anything just to get elected. Once in office, they’ll drop any facade of being moderates and set about forcing their radically liberal agenda down the throats of the American people.
Those who defend the Electoral College argue that it is a bulwark against mob rule. If it were to be abolished, elections would largely be decided by the coasts, which tend to be liberal meccas. That’s why radical liberals like Harris and Walz seemingly would love nothing more than to see the Electoral College be abolished.
Walz can try to backtrack from his Electoral College comments all that he wants to. Unfortunately for him, his remarks still say it all about why exactly it’s crucial that he and Harris do not win this election.
In the end, anyone who supports the Electoral College should be casting their vote for Donald Trump.
