First Unofficial Results of 2024 Presidential Election Roll in as America Waits in Suspense
Kamala Unofficially Declared the Winner in Guam
The Guam Election Commission has released its unofficial results for the 2024 presidential election after all 72 precincts reporting.
On Wednesday morning local time, it has been determined that residents in the small U.S. territory have chosen Vice President Kalama Harris as its winner, defeating former President Donald Trump by a little over three points.
As Harris defeated Trump 49.5 percent to 46.2 percent, the Democratic nominee faired poorly compared to President Joe Biden, who won by a 13.4-point lead over Trump in 2020, or 55.4 percent to 42 percent, per The Post Millennial.

While the West Pacific Ocean territory does not offer any electoral votes, Pacific Daily News reports that the island’s voters have correctly predicted the winner of the popular vote since 1980, except in 2016.
James Moylan, the incumbent Republican delegate representing Guam in the U.S. House of Representatives, defeated his Democratic challenger, Ginger Cruz, by a 6-point margin, according to the unofficial results.
The unofficial results also show that Republicans have taken control of the Guam Legislature, securing nine seats to the Democrats’ six, marking the first Republican majority in nearly 16 years, according to Breitbart.
The election results will not be official until certified by Guam election commissioners.

These results follow the early election results for the small New England town of Dixville Notch, New Hampshire, whose results ended in a tie 3-3, according to The Post Millennial.
Those results were also troublesome for Harris, as Biden won the town in 2020. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was also the winner in 2016.
Republican Kimberly King-Hinds is expected to win the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, which is another U.S. territory located in the Pacific West.
As Election Day continues, millions of Americans are expected to cast their ballots before polls close. The next polls are scheduled to close at 6 p.m. EST in parts of Indiana and Kentucky, marking the beginning of results reporting in these areas.
Due to unexpected technical issues with voting machines in several areas across the country, some locations have extended their polling hours to ensure that all eligible voters have an opportunity to cast their ballots.
As the country waits in anticipation, many have speculated that the presidential election results will not be available for several days.
