Chelsea Clinton Receives Brutal Reminder Following Nasty Swipe at President Trump’s WH Renovations

SHARE

Chelsea Clinton just waded into the controversy being stirred up around President Trump’s White House renovations.

No — that’s not accurate.

She came in like a wrecking ball.  (I’ll see myself out…)

Apparently she couldn’t let good sense prevail, and decided to jump on the bandwagon along with all those getting caught up in the manufactured outrage about the President’s planned Ball Room.

Okay, okay — not THAT Ball Room.  (But that’s the funniest thing I’ve seen all week!)

Chelsea Clinton couldn’t just cast her shade on social media like all the ‘regular’ folk.

She had to actually write an entire Op-Ed piece to make her point — and as those things tend to go…

She immediately got roasted for her trouble.  And you’re gonna love these!

As the daughter of Bill & Hillary, maybe she shouldn’t have spouted off so freely about President Trump’s supposed disrespect for the White House — just sayin’.

But that’s exactly what she did, as reported by Fox News:

Chelsea Clinton blasted President Donald Trump in a new op-ed for having a “disregard for history” and taking a “wrecking ball to our heritage” with his extensive White House renovations, including tearing down the East Wing to construct a new ballroom.

Clinton, the daughter of President Bill Clinton, said she always understood the home didn’t belong to her. She moved into the White House with her parents in 1993, just shy of her 13th birthday, and began attending Stanford during her father’s second term.

Other presidents have made changes or renovations to the White House, Clinton noted, but Trump’s changes have drawn considerable criticism, especially after demolition of a section of the East Wing began to begin construction of the privately funded, $250 million ballroom.

“Renovations aren’t inherently objectionable because of who orders them or who pays for them,” she wrote, while noting Trump has authority over the White House grounds as the president. “But authority is not the same as stewardship. Stewardship requires transparency, consultation and an accounting for history.”

“This is what happens when we take a wrecking ball to our heritage,” Clinton wrote.

Clinton’s article and X post went viral, with conservative critics reminding her of the Monica Lewinsky sex scandal and other uncomfortable moments from her family’s White House tenure.

I’m constantly amazed at the Democrat’s inability to look forward and recognize the huge heaping pile of cow manure they’re about to land in.

On the other hand, if they did — we wouldn’t have awesome stories like this with which to make fun of them!

We tend to stick to the straight-and-narrow of the news.  But every now and again, when someone goes out of their way to WRITE OUR STORY FOR US…

It’s irresistibly fun to take them up on their offer!

Before we get right into some of the hot backlash that quickly came her way via the ultimate ‘never forget’ machine known as social media…

Here’s a little of her write-up, just so you really get a taste of the disdain she has for President Trump.

I hereby give you — if you can stomach it — an excerpt of Chelsea Clinton’s Op-Ed piece in USA Today:

Although I spent many of my formative years living in the White House, I always knew it wasn’t my house. It was my home, absolutely, but not my house. The White House belongs to the American people, and that’s why we call it the People’s House. I never forgot that.

So yes, while I played hide-and-seek in the White House residence and danced outside the closed doors of many a state dinner, I never once thought, “this is my house” in the way my friends thought of theirs.

President Donald Trump has the right – and clearly has raised the private funds – to pave over the Rose Garden (and denude it of roses) as well as turn the East Wing into a ballroom.

Still, with less than a year until we celebrate our country’s 250th anniversary, it is unsettling that such substantial alterations to the 225-year-old People’s House are being undertaken without a historic-preservation review and seemingly without the involvement of any historians, and I would love to be proven wrong here.

A disregard for history is a defining trait of President Trump’s second administration. Reports indicate he has directed the Smithsonian Institution and the National Park Service to censor exhibits and erase mentions of slavery and the treatment of Native Americans. Federal websites have deleted references to women’s rights and LGBTQ+ history. In one especially embarrassing episode, Trump’s Department of War, formally known as the Department of Defense, even scrubbed its site of all mentions of the Enola Gay ‒ the plane that dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima ‒ because an automated effort to remove the word “gay” caught it in the process.

Our greatness doesn’t come because we ignore our history – it comes because we acknowledge it, we learn from it and build a better future on it, including in the buildings and gardens of the People’s House.

What was dismantled today isn’t just marble or plaster; it is a reflection of how easily history can be erased when power forgets purpose. (Emphasis added.)

Wow.

I particularly enjoyed the part where she tried to amplify the Trump Administration’s purge of all things LGBTQ, and sometimes Y…

Insinuating that he purposefully expunged any reference to the Enola Gay plane.

And yet she simultaneously pointed out that it was an error, in an attempt to simply make the Trump Administration look inept.

Not at all realizing that her attempt to use BOTH avenues of logic effectively ruled out both points.

And proved her OWN ineptitude in the process.  (Bravo!!!)

Yeah… that was definitely my favorite part.

Meanwhile, the unswervingly diabolic Internet stood ready to bring attention to every subtle misstep in Chelsea’s exposé.

And to aide the Internet in it’s smackdown… Chelsea shared her USA Today in a post to X:

That provided the perfect platform for the Internet to rain down it’s wrath.

I particularly enjoyed reading the quip of Buzz Patterson, who actually served in the Clinton White House and carried the nuclear ‘football’ for Bill.

He knows the family well… and dishes on them often.  (You should follow him on X – he’s a trip! Always coming out with hilarious firsthand stories from the Clinton White House.)

This could have been the sole response to Chelsea’s arrogant display of TDS, and the point would have been sufficiently made:

Check, and Checkmate.

You can’t argue with that logic!

Some of the responses were a little too crude to share here, as you might expect.

Here’s one that gets that point across without being too much:

She had quite a few responses along those lines, as you might have guessed.

Keeping with Chelsea’s theme of referring to the White House as her ‘playhouse’ when she was 12…

Another X user pointed out that it was the same for her Dad!:

Ouch.

Another person brought Hillary’s own words into the mix…

And suggested a possible honorary name for the Ball Room, referencing a key historic event from her parents’ time in the People’s House:

But one of the best responses was this find by one popular X account, Big Fish:

Wait — what’ that you say?

The Clintons actually WANTED to put in a Ball Room…

But just couldn’t pull it off?

Here’s a full screen version of that video:

https://twitter.com/BigFish3000/status/1980852346335949180?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1980852346335949180%7Ctwgr%5E9d633230964a606f719b4d70978902399593024a%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.digifection.com%2F2025%2F10%2F26%2Fchelsea-clinton-receives-brutal-reminder-following-nasty-swipe-at-president-trumps-wh-renovations%2F

So the very thing that Chelsea Clinton is trying to use to rake President Trump over the coals…

Is the EXACT THING that her own parents WANTED to do — but didn’t.

Couldn’t?  You could say… failed to do?

Maybe Chelsea should stop attacking the man in the arena, and look to her own parents.

Who, during their time in that same ‘arena’ failed to do the very thing — though they wanted to! — that she is now lambasting President Trump for DOING.

That just shows this isn’t about substance or reality any more than it ever is with the Democrat’s constant baseless attacks against anything and everything President Trump does.

It’s just that they hate him.

And part of that… is because he even accomplishes the things that THEY wanted to do — but never actually pull off, for whatever reason.

Imagine always comparing yourself to someone who disagrees with you on nearly every point, but even on the things you AGREE on…

He does it better than you.

Next time, maybe avoid the public-facing Opinion piece in a national outlet, Chelsea.

Just buy yourself a box of chocolates and have a good cry… and move on, already.
