Trump Says DOGE Has Made a ‘Horrible’ Discovery
President Donald Trump gave a mysterious and ominous update about the U.S. Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) while speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One.
The president hinted that the agency, overseen by Elon Musk, has just uncovered a disturbing discovery—one he claims the American public will learn about “very soon.”
Trump’s cryptic comments immediately sparked speculation across social media, as the public tried to guess what could possibly be more alarming than previous DOGE revelations.
These earlier findings included government retirement documents being stashed in an old limestone cave and reports that thousands of illegal aliens managed to vote in the 2024 election after being mistakenly issued Social Security numbers.
In his remarks, Trump reaffirmed his confidence in Musk, calling him “fantastic” and “a patriot,” as TTOA previously reported.
He defended Musk’s current role as a special government employee, despite ongoing backlash against Tesla. “It’s a shame what they’re doing with his car company,” Trump said, referring to regulatory and political attacks, as Trending Politics reported.
The President made clear that Musk will stay in the position as long as he chooses. “As long as he likes it,” Trump stated, praising Musk’s intellect and efficiency. He also noted that Musk’s eventual return to Tesla, SpaceX, and social media giant X is likely on the horizon.
Trump credited Musk with saving taxpayers enormous sums by uncovering layers of inefficiency and corruption inside federal agencies. According to Trump, “hundreds of millions of dollars” have already been exposed as fraudulent or wasteful due to DOGE’s investigations.
While declining to provide specifics on the latest discovery, Trump described it repeatedly as “horrible.” When pushed for details, he offered only a vague promise: “You’ll find out very soon.”
Since Trump’s return to the presidency, DOGE has played a central role in his administration’s reform agenda. For over two months now, the agency’s bombshell reports have dominated news cycles and become a source of constant tension in Washington.
Despite fierce criticism from Democrats, public opinion polls continue to show strong bipartisan support for DOGE’s mission to clean up federal bureaucracy. The agency has been widely praised for shining a light on previously hidden waste.
One of DOGE’s more shocking reports came just last week. Elon Musk revealed that the National Parks Service had commissioned a survey that ended up costing over $1 billion. Even worse, there was no mechanism to act on the survey’s findings—it simply disappeared into the bureaucratic void.
DOGE later clarified that this survey was part of a larger issue within the Department of the Interior. The Federal Consulting Group had authorized a $75 million contract to design customer feedback surveys, and then prepared to spend another $830 million on similar projects.
Thanks to DOGE’s intervention, those contracts were canceled, according to NBC News. The revelation raised new questions about how much taxpayer money has been misused under the radar for years.
Musk has promised that this is only the beginning. With DOGE’s ongoing audits, more revelations are expected to follow. For now, though, the nation waits to learn what “horrible” truth has just been uncovered.
And according to Trump, that truth will be made public soon enough.
