Elon Musk Calls Out Kamala Harris Over False Claims Over Trump’s Abortion Stance

Vice President Kamala Harris was caught making false accusations about former President Donald Trump, this time by Elon Musk.

Harris posted on X Sunday that Trump would ban abortion access in the U.S.

“Donald Trump would ban abortion nationwide,” she wrote, adding, “President Joe Biden and I will do everything in our power to stop him and restore women’s reproductive freedom.”

Musk responded, “He clearly said he would not do so in the debate.”

His response was referring to the presidential debate last Thursday, when Trump stated that he would not ban abortion pill access if reelected.

“First of all, the Supreme Court just approved the abortion pill and I agree with their decision to have done that, and I will not block it,” he said after being asked about his position on abortion, The Post Millennial reports.

“I put three great Supreme Court justices on the court and they happened to vote in favor of killing Roe v. Wade and moving it back to the states. This is something that everybody wanted. Now the states are working it out,” he added.

Trump also noted that all of the states were “making their own decisions right now,” and that since the power has gone back to the states, the issue was in the hands of the voters.

The former president said that he believes that there are exceptions in which abortion should be allowed, justifying his position and proving what Musk had said was true.

“I believe in the exceptions,” said Trump. “I am a person that believes, and frankly, I think it is important to believe in the exceptions. Some people, you have to follow your heart, some people don’t believe in that. But I believe in the exceptions for rape, incest, and the life of the mother. I think it’s very important.”

He also called Democrats radicals because “they will take the life of a child in the eighth month, the ninth month, and even after birth.”

Musk made another post, slamming the Harris camp for lying about Trump’s abortion stance.

“When will politicians, or at least the intern who runs their account, learn that lying on this platform doesn’t work anymore?” He wrote.

Since the beginning of the 2024 campaign season, the Biden administration has focused its attention on abortion rights. Calling it the fight to “restore reproductive freedom,” Biden and Harris have tried to rally pro-choice Americans to support them as a way to defeat Trump in November.

“Donald Trump ‘proudly’ overturned Roe and brags about unleashing extreme abortion bans across the country that are putting women’s lives at risk and threatening doctors with jail time,” the Biden campaign wrote. “He has called these state abortion bans ‘a beautiful thing to watch’ and said that women who have an abortion should be punished. If elected, Trump will ban abortion nationwide, and he refuses to support nationwide protection for IVF.”
