Must See: VP Vance Expertly Defends President Trump’s Record In Brutal Takedown Of Media’s ‘Fake BS’
A recent White House Cabinet meeting became a forum for Vice President JD Vance to take aim at the incessant press reports disparaging and minimizing the Trump administration’s accomplishments.
With members of the media present for the gathering, Vance called them out for chasing “fake BS” instead of the real story, which he said should be the restoration of America’s former greatness.
As the Daily Mail reported:
‘At the risk of insulting everybody else at the table, I believe that I am the youngest member sitting at the table,’ he said.
Vance recalled that in the 40 years that he had been alive, the United States’ wealth and prosperity had fallen precipitously.
‘We went from the world’s manufacturing superpower to one in which we depend on the Peoples Republic of China to make the things that we need,’ he said.
He also pointed out that, before Trump, the military faced recruitment shortages and the once bipartisan goal of securing the border had fallen by the wayside.
‘What has happened in 100 days is that we’ve started to reverse every single one of these negative trends,’ he boasted.
Previous presidents, he said, were often ‘place holder’ executives he said, hinting at former President Joe Biden’s use of an ‘autopen’ in office, unlike Trump who was a ‘man of action.’
As a Marine veteran, Vance also celebrated the news that Americans were ‘breaking down the doors to join our military’ ever since Trump was elected.
Clips of his remarks were widely shared among right-leaning media outlets and garnered significant praise among pro-Trump social media users.
Nobody. Not Tucker , Glenn beck, Alex jones, Megyn Kelly , you.
Nobody has been able to sum up the success of Trump as a President better than this.— Jay Kaye (@illbearound2024) April 30, 2025
His comments at the White House echoed the full-throated defense of Trump’s second-term agenda during an interview with Fox News this week:
Vance told Fox News Digital that the president “has full faith in his team.”
“And it just makes it very easy to actually work successfully when you’re not constantly checking in and you’re not constantly, you know, dealing with the bureaucracy,” he said. “You can just go and do your job.”
Vance told Fox News Digital that he, as vice president, feels “very empowered by the president.”
“I was talking to Secretary Rubio about this yesterday, and I think Marco Rubio feels very empowered, and there’s just this sense that the President both likes and trusts his senior team, and so he’s able to govern effectively,” Vance explained. “The president is dealing with a million different things, but it’s a lot more digestible when you can give directives to your team and say, ‘Go and do this.’ And that’s what’s happening on the economic side. It’s what’s happening on the national security side.
“And obviously, because I’m the vice president, I have a more global view of this, but it’s really an amazing thing to see, because there’s just a lot of good synergies that, you know, I don’t know if the president had the first administration — I don’t know if any president has had in prior administrations — where there was such great confidence in the team.”
