RINO Senator’s BIZARRE Anti-Trump Rant at DHS Hearing, Before He Gets TORCHED

SHARE

Thom Tillis is on his way out of the Senate.

He won’t be seeking reelection for his North Carolina seat.

And that’s partly because President Trump’s RETURN TO THE WHITE HOUSE was just more than he could bear.

But he’s not out, yet… this so-called ‘Republican’.

And he’s still taking every chance he gets to attack the Trump Administration, and the President’s choice for key leadership roles.

Let me make this crystal clear — Sen. Thom Tillis CAN’T STAND DHS Secretary Kristi Noem.

He attacked her and the Trump Administration as a whole — relentlessly — during yesterday’s DHS hearing on Capitol Hill.

Did it make complete, rational sense? “No”.

Did that stop him? Also, “No”.

Here’s one clip in which he went after Kristi Noem, Stephen Miller, and ICE for focusing on the ‘quantity’ of deportations taking place under President Trump:

Here’s a full screen version of that clip for easier viewing:

He almost slipped up and allowed Sec. Noem a chance to respond.

But he quickly caught himself in that last clip, and realized that might not be to his advantage.

So he basically didn’t give her a chance to volley or respond to any of the MANY accusations he hurled one after another in her general direction.

After he finished that diatribe, he jumped right back into another one!

Here’s a clip that overlaps from the previous video, but picks up fresh about 50 seconds in.

Then he gets ramped up about hurricane recovery, and Noem’s attempt to cut down on FRAUD:

Here’s a full screen version for that clip, as well — for convenience:

The man just wouldn’t stop screaming long enough for Noem to ever reply!

And what is more, he kept promising to hold up President Trump’s nominations, and deny quorum in order to force the Trump Administration to jump through his personal hoops, was reported by NBC News:

During a tense public hearing Tuesday, Republican Sen. Thom Tillis called on Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem to resign over her handling of the deadly Minneapolis immigration operation.

Then he senator threatened to block many of President Donald Trump’s nominees until he gets answers to questions he has posed to the administration about Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations in Charlotte.

Tillis, who has clashed with Trump and his administration over numerous issues and nominees, isn’t seeking re-election this fall. His comments reflect high tensions between Noem and members of Congress, particularly over immigration operations in the U.S., and his nomination threats could significantly impede business in the Senate.

Tillis also said he would “deny quorum in markup in as many committees as I can until I get a response.”

That would mean holding up legislation in several committees; in addition to the Judiciary panel, he is on the Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee, the Finance Committee and the Veterans Affairs Committee. (Emphasis added.)

Oddly enough, his ranting about Sec. Noam’s handling of hurricane recovery quickly backfired.

In the aftermath, on the internet, sometime after that hearing…

Popular conservative personality Matt Van Swol spilled the beans on how TILLIS actually handled the hurricane relief situation in his home state.

Here’s Swol’s unsatisfactory recollection of events:

And here’s the full story from Swol’s post, since the entire account probably won’t be visible:

Ok, I’ve had it with Thom Tillis…

You deserve to know the truth.

During the aftermath of Helene, Thom Tillis’s staffers emailed me “Hurricane Helene victims” to see if we could help them while FEMA was kicking people out of hotels during the Biden administration.

2 of the 6 people he sent me were completely unvetted frauds trying to take advantage of the FEMA hotel program.

I sent the fraudulent people back his office and said they were frauds.

Never heard back.

I begged him for ACTUAL HELP from, you know… Biden’s FEMA doing their jobs…instead of pushing random people on ME to help.

Also never heard back.

If anyone should be ashamed of their actions during Hurricane Helene… it should be Thom Tillis.

He also BARELY visited us during the aftermath of Helene and was essentially dragged back to us by JD Vance, who was awesome and did help us, personally.

…but you want to know who DID earn my trust?

President Donald Trump.

He showed up here.

He let Hurricane Helene victims tell their stories… for the first time on a national stage.

He gave them HIS microphone and let them speak and truly truly cared about us in a way I’ve never seen any other politician do in my life.

I cried my eyes out that day.

He didn’t just show up… he literally pulled in a FORMER NAVY SEAL to run FEMA who called me on DAY ONE, asking me what was needed.

Cameron Hamilton, who ran FEMA at the time, got on a phone call with 5 families who had bad experiences with Biden’s FEMA… I know, I was there.

He listened to them for over an hour and a half, and apologized for what Biden’s FEMA had done to them.

He said these words, and I’ll never forget them… “I am a public servant, it’s an honor to serve you.”

Trump EARNED my trust through action, through kindness, through ACTUALLY KEEPING HIS PROMISES.

Do you understand what that’s like?

Do you understand the feeling of screaming into the void for help… and finally someone turns on a light and says, “I’m here to serve, what’s wrong?”

It changed everything for me…

You know who didn’t do that?

THOM. TILLIS.

Where was THOM TILLIS when we were mucking mud out homes?

Where was THOM TILLIS when I was driving RVs to mothers and their children in tents?

Where was THOM TILLIS when people were lined up 3+ miles for propane in the winter because they were living in RVs and needed help?

Where were you, Thom Tillis?

Because you sure as HELL were not here, in Western North Carolina.

Then, he launched back into how TERRIBLY HORRIBLE and OUTRAGEOUS it is that the Trump Administration is taking people who do not legally belong in this country… OUT.

That’s also when he layered threat upon threat.

He promised to hold up the Senate every which way till Sunday… if he didn’t get what he was demanding from the Trump Administration.

Here’s that clip:

And here’s a full screen version of that video for convenience:

For those of you who would prefer to read rather than watch, here’s a good portion of the transcript along with a little play-by-play of the whole affair, according to The Hill:

Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) tore into Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem in a 10-minute tirade criticizing her from everything to her handling of the deaths of two Minnesotans to killing her own dog in a monologue that garnered applause from the audience of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

“I’m giving you a performance evaluation here – I’m not looking for a response,” said Tillis, adding that “time after time after time, I’ve been disappointed.”

He faulted her for indiscriminate immigration enforcement.

“We just want numbers. We want a thousand a day, 6,000 a day, 9,000 a day, because numbers matter, right? No, they don’t matter. Quality Matters, not quantity, quality. And what we’ve seen is a disaster under your leadership, Ms. Noem, a disaster,” Tillis said.

He then turned to the killings of Minnesotans Renee Good and Alex Pretti.

“Going back to Minneapolis, why can’t we just say we made a mistake?” he said.

“Secretary, I read your book last week, and honestly, some of the parts of it impressed me, but some of it distresses me,” he said.

“You talk about killing a dog that was 14 months old. I train dogs, all right, and you are a farmer, you should know better. You should know that if you’re going out to a hunting lodge and you’re putting pheasants out and you’re putting dogs out, you don’t take a puppy out there. A 14-month-old dog is basically a teenager in dog years. You decided to kill that dog because you had not invested the appropriate time in training. And then you have the audacity to go into a book and say it’s a leadership lesson about tough choices,” he said.

“My point is, those are bad decisions made in the heat of the moment, not unlike what happened up in Minneapolis. We’re an exceptional nation, and one of the reasons we’re exceptional is we expect exceptional leadership, and you’ve demonstrated anything but that in the time that I’ve seen you,” Tillis said.

Noem spoke just once during Tillis’s time, responding only to confirm that border czar Tom Homan reports to President Trump.

The entire rant was about 10 minutes long — and I’m not even going to try to cram it all in here!

But now, let us turn out attention to the more enjoyable part of the story…

And that’s why the RINO has everything that is wrong with his thinking explained to him in sarcastic, dry, and otherwise crafty ways — on the internet.

In other words… he got BURNED.

First, I want to point out something you may have seen last week, though the focus was generally on Speaker Thune, and not Tillis.

But I want it known far and wide that TILLIS was the Senator with a bull horn announcing the Senate DOG PARADE…

When the Senate SHOULD have been doing their job — and voting on the SAVE Act:

Now, I shall report on the merciless TORCHING he received at the hands of the good people of the internet.

Remember those statements from an earlier clip, in which he went on and on about QUALITY, not QUANTITY of deporations?

This X user put a pin in THAT balloon:

Another X user shared this Senate report card from Conservative Review, showing just how poor Tillis’ FREEDOM rating is:

Another X user commented that for someone who had so much to say all of the sudden…

He sure was quiet — with his thumb somewhere it shouldn’t have been — while illegals flooded the US:

And another less-than-favorable post pictured the Senator hanging out in his aquatic habitat.

You know… the swamp:

Michael Whatley isn’t fickle about backing the President’s vision for immigration reform.

Or the border.

Or deportations.

Or ICE, in general.

Senator Thom Tillis — enjoy your forced retirement, bud.

The rest of us certainly will.
