A U.S. Army veteran with alleged ISIS ties is believed to have orchestrated a deadly vehicular attack in New Orleans’ French Quarter during New Year’s celebrations, marking a devastating start to 2025.
The FBI has since made a horrifying discovery in the Airbnb rented by the suspected terrorist.
This shock incident was followed hours later by a suspicious Tesla Cybertruck explosion at Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas.

Shamsud-Din Jabbar, 42, allegedly drove from Houston to New Orleans where he plowed through crowds of New Year’s revelers, killing 15 and injuring 35 others.
After crashing the vehicle, Jabbar emerged firing at civilians before being fatally shot by police.
Investigators discovered an ISIS flag and explosives inside the rental vehicle.
Federal investigators uncovered evidence suggesting Jabbar prepared improvised explosive devices at a nearby Airbnb rental property in the St. Roch neighborhood, Daily Mail reported.
FBI agents, accompanied by ATF and Homeland Security personnel, evacuated a three-street radius around the property and removed bomb-making materials using a total containment vessel.
Louisiana State Attorney General Liz Murrill confirmed the rental property’s connection to the attack, stating, “We know that these individuals had rented the house were using it for that purpose.”
Law enforcement is reviewing videos allegedly made by Jabbar during his drive from Texas to Louisiana.
The recordings reportedly contain references to his divorce, plans to kill his family members under the guise of a celebration and claims about joining ISIS.

Daily Mail noted that Jabbar’s brother, 24-year-old Abdur, painted a contrasting picture of the suspect, telling The New York Times, “[He was] a sweetheart really, a nice guy, a friend, really smart, caring.”
He emphasized that his brother’s actions did not represent Islam, attributing them to “some type of radicalization.”
Hours after the New Orleans attack, a Tesla Cybertruck exploded outside Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, killing one and injuring seven.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk confirmed the explosion was caused by “a bomb carried in the bed of the rented Cybertruck” or “very large fireworks.”
Law enforcement currently believes it was most likely intentional

“Both this Cybertruck and the F-150 suicide bomb in New Orleans were rented from Turo. Perhaps they are linked in some way,” Musk said in a subsequent post.
Appears likely to be an act of terrorism.

Musk has cooperated with investigators, providing vehicle data and access to Tesla charging station surveillance footage.

Both vehicles were rented through the car-sharing platform Turo, prompting multiple agencies to investigate potential connections between the attacks.
TTOA reported Thursday that a new report revealed that law enforcement officials raided a Colorado Springs townhouse complex Wednesday night, targeting a 37-year-old suspect with military ties.
The man allegedly served at the same base as Jabbar
The Colorado suspect reportedly rented a Tesla Cybertruck before driving it to Las Vegas.
Investigators discovered charred fireworks, gas canisters and camping fuel in the truck’s bed after extinguishing the flames.
Sheriff Kevin McMahill confirmed authorities are investigating potential connections between the two incidents, Daily Mail has learned.
