Shots Fired at Rihanna’s Home – And She Was Inside: Report
The Los Angeles Police Department reported that the shooting incident took place at 1:20 p.m. PT on Sunday.
A 35-year-old woman was booked on suspicion of attempted murder after allegedly firing multiple shots from a white Tesla toward the gate of Rihanna’s home.
The LAPD identified the woman as 35-year-old Ivanna Ortiz.
She is being held on a $10.2 million bail.
Officers were sent to the area at around 1:15 p.m. after learning of shots being fired, according to the LAPD.
Upon arrival, they located a suspect and took her into custody without further incident.
According to police dispatch audio obtained by Fox News Digital, approximately 10 gunshots were heard near Rihanna’s residence in Beverly Hills.
The shots appeared to come from “across the street, directed toward the upward gate” of the property.
Police say that the suspect parked her car outside of the home and fired seven gunshots before speeding away.
One round penetrated the wall of the property, reported Variety.
CBS News said that her vehicle, a white Tesla, was located approximately eight miles away from the singer’s home, at the Sherman Oaks Galleria shopping center, where the woman was taken into custody.
After the incident was reported, police in a helicopter located the white Tesla, which had fled south on Coldwater Canyon Drive.
Police followed the vehicle to the shopping center in Sherman Oaks, where the suspect was arrested 30 minutes after the 911 call was placed.
LAPD spokesperson Armen Arias told LA Magazine: “When they pulled the suspect over and took her into custody, they searched the vehicle and located an assault rifle and seven casings.”
Police found bullet holes in a gate at Rihanna’s home and in an RV parked in the driveway.
Seven “assault rifle casings” were found at the home, per CBS.
Between five and seven shots were fired, hitting the outside gate to the house but not the house itself, according to the LAPD. There were no injuries, although there were people in the house at the time of the incident, police said.
During the shooting, one of at least 10 rounds penetrated a wall of the house, a law enforcement source said.
The motive was not immediately clear and the investigation is ongoing.

According to Ortiz’s Facebook, the self-employed suspect addressed Rihanna just weeks before the attack, writing: “@badgalriri — Are you there? ‘Cause I was waiting for your AIDS 5-head self to say something to me directly instead of sneaking around like you’re talking to me where I’m not at.”
Rihanna, whose real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, rose to fame in the early 2000s with mega-hits like “Pon de Replay” and “Umbrella.”
Rihanna lives in the Beverly Hills home with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, and their three children RZA, Riot and Rocki, who was born just over five months ago.
It is not the first time the Grammy winner has faced a frightening incident at her home.
E! News reported that back in 2018, a 27-year-old man broke into her house in the Hollywood Hills by hopping a fence, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney.
The perpetrator — identified by the D.A. as Eduardo Leon — spent 12 hours inside before he was discovered by an assistant.
The 27-year-old pleaded no contest to stalking and was ordered to stay away from Rihanna for 10 years.
