Tucker Carlson Criticizes FBI Director Kash Patel and Dan Bongino Over Delayed Epstein Files and Transparency Issues

The slow trickle of information surrounding Jeffrey Epstein’s s*x-trafficking network has reignited frustration among conservatives, with prominent voices now questioning the federal government’s commitment to transparency.

Conservative commentator Tucker Carlson, in a recent podcast appearance with ex-CIA contractor Shawn Ryan, took direct aim at current FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy Director Dan Bongino for their handling of the long-anticipated “Epstein files.”

The pair expressed disbelief over Patel and Bongino’s recent claim that Epstein died by suicide, despite long-standing questions surrounding the circumstances of his death.

“No matter who gets elected, you get the same foreign policy, you get the same economic policy, and the Epstein videos remain secret,” Carlson said, according to the Daily Mail. “That just shows you, our system [of democracy] has no effect on the actual system.”

Ryan responded with skepticism.

“We can all sleep well at night knowing that Epstein legitimately killed himself.”

Carlson laughed in response and questioned the reversal of figures who previously vowed to reveal the truth.

While he referred to Bongino as a “friend,” he openly mocked his public appearance with Patel to confirm Epstein’s suicide, asking, “What was that?”

Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier and convicted s*x offender, died in a Manhattan jail cell in August 2019 while awaiting trial on federal charges.

While his death was ruled a suicide, the event has remained shrouded in doubt due to his high-profile associations and the glaring lapses in jail protocol.

Carlson and Ryan’s conversation reflected growing dissatisfaction among those who expected a more aggressive pursuit of justice from the current administration.

Ryan pointedly asked, “How do you charge a guy with s*x trafficking when there’s no end users that have been charged? Who did he traffic to?”

The skepticism wasn’t limited to Patel and Bongino. The two also criticized senior Trump advisor Sebastian Gorka, with Carlson quipping, “If it makes you feel better, Gorka is not taken seriously by anybody, including by his wife.”

Ryan joked that Gorka’s online persona, which often features fiery posts on X, made him “actually the perfect guy for the job.”

The podcast appearance comes as questions mount over why more substantive information hasn’t been released.

In the months leading up to the 2024 election, Patel and others had pledged to shed light on the full scope of Epstein’s connections, the Daily Mail highlights

Attorney General Pam Bondi had promised “a lot of names, a lot of information” in what she described as a long-overdue public reckoning.

However, the first round of documents released in February offered little new insight and was widely criticized for recycling previously public information.

Bondi later assured the public that a “truckload” of Epstein-related files would be released “as fast as we can,” but no further major updates have followed.

As internal frustrations spill into public view, critics across the spectrum are voicing concern that political pressures may be hindering full disclosure.

Despite repeated promises of transparency, key questions about Epstein and potential associates remain unresolved.
