Ted Cruz Blames Maxine Waters And Chuck Schumer: “Deranged rhetoric from elected Democrats, the problem is what we saw early this morning with the lunatic that came to murder Justice Kavanaugh
Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, condemned years of Democrats’ fiery political rhetoric after Nicholas John Roske was arrested for trying to kill Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. He called out Chuck Schumer and Maxine Watters on Sean Hannity’s program last night.
Ted said: “The Left is angry and the rhetoric that comes from their political leaders, from the radical extreme, is getting more and more heightened. And the problem is what we saw early this morning with the lunatic that came to murder Justice Kavanaugh.
“It is a crime, it is a felony to protest outside a judge’s home while a judge is considering a case. You have Joe Biden’s White House urging people to commit felonies. And we’re seeing the effect of their rhetoric and it’s dangerous.
“The radical Left hates their political opponents and they condone violence as a means of getting what they want.”
Cruz said Roske “followed through on deranged rhetoric from elected Democrats” pointing to Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., who called for supporters to publicly confront Republicans and Chuck Schumer for calling out Kavanaugh and Gorsuch saying they will “pay the price” for “releasing the whirlwind.”
Cruz also slammed the Biden administration for “encouraging” illegal protests in front of justices’ Maryland and Virginia residences.
Chuck Schumer said this in March:
“Now, we stand here today because behind me, inside the walls of this court, the Supreme Court is hearing arguments, as you know, for the first major abortion rights cases since Kavanaugh and Gorsuch came to the bench.
“We know what’s at stake.
“Over the last three years, women’s reproductive rights have come under attack in a way we haven’t seen in modern history.
“From Louisiana to Missouri, to Texas, Republican legislatures are waging a war on women, all women, and they’re taking away fundamental rights.
“I want to tell you, Gorsuch, I want to tell you, Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price.
“You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions,” he said.
The Supreme Court issued a statement that said:
“At approximately 1:50 a.m. today, a man was arrested near Justice Kavanaugh’s residence. The man was armed and made threats against Justice Kavanaugh.
“He was transported to Montgomery County Police 2nd District.”
He was angry about the Court's leaked ruling in Roe and the lack of gun control, and reportedly sought to kill Justice Kavanaugh in response.
