Trump Drops Hammer On Vladimir Putin: “This is a Holocaust, we’re watching a holocaust, they’re blowing up buildings, with children, with women
Former President Trump dropped the hammer on Vladimir Putin and called the Russian invasion into Ukraine “a holocaust” before telling Russia to stop killing people. Trump made the comment during a Wednesday interview with Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo.
“I want to get your take on how Joe Biden needs to respond, to people like Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping, given the atrocious actions taken by Putin in the last seven days — possible crimes against humanity, Bartiromo said. “Would you still afford Putin respect at this time?”
Trump said: “They have to stop killing these people. They’re killing all these people, and they have to stop it. And they have to stop it now. But they don’t respect the United States. So the United States is, I don’t know, they’re not doing anything about it.
“This is a Holocaust.
“This is a horrible thing that’s happening, you’re witnessing. I mean, you’re seeing it on television every night.
“I look at what’s happening in our country it’s like it’s run by fools. We’re fighting Russia.
“We’re watching a holocaust. We’re watching something that I’ve never seen before.
“They’re blowing up buildings, with children, with women, with professionals, with people, just people, they’re blowing up indiscriminately.
“They’re just shooting massive missiles and rockets into these buildings and everybody is dying.
“The numbers are far worse than what you’re seeing on television. I don’t know if they keeping them down. When you see buildings being blown up and then they say one person died? Give me a break. Many people are dying and we’re allowing this to happen.”
From The Hill:
During the interview, Trump hesitated to say whether he believed Ukraine should be afforded membership into the NATO military alliance, saying it is a decision that’s going to have to be made.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday called for his country to be admitted.
“Right now, it would be a lot easier to say yes than it would have been six months ago,” Trump said of the possibility.
Trump also lauded Zelensky regarding his 2019 phone call with the Ukrainian leader during his interview with Bartiromo, saying he was “very impressed by him.”
