After Tlaib Tries to Explain Her Pro-Palestinian Chant – Her Own Democrats Expose the Brutal Truth
Americans, especially Democrats, have been shocked to see some within our own country turn on Israel. After the horrible events of October 7, some liberals criticized Israel.
They have appeared to defend the actions of Palestinian terror group Hamas. Even some Democrat members of Congress have challenged President Biden for helping our ally Israel.
Rep. Rashida Tlaib was even caught using the infamous chant, “From the River to the Sea.” She backtracked and claimed she was calling for “freedom.” Then, fact-checkers exposed what it really means.
From Fox News:
Multiple members of the Democratic Party are calling out Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., after she attempted to justify the pro-Palestinian chant, “From the river to the sea,” calling it an “aspirational call for freedom, human rights and peaceful coexistence.”In response, a group on X called StopAntisemitism told Tlaib what the phrase actually means, saying it refers to “the full erasure of the Jewish state, from Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea.”
The group also told the congresswoman the chant is Hamas’ battle cry, adding, “You echo terrorists.”
Democrat Rep. Tlaib tried to claim that “From the River to the Sea” is “an aspirational call for freedom, human rights, and peaceful coexistence, not death, destruction, or hate.” Anyone who is aware of the history of this chant knows this is false.
Fact-checkers called out Tlaib, revealing the true meaning of this chant. It is a call to remove any trace of the Jewish state, from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea.
For years, Israel and the U.S. have worked to craft a two-state solution with Palestinians. But Palestinian groups have always rejected these offers. This is largely because they want to control all the land “from the river to the sea.”
They have not wanted to coexist with Israel. While some Palestinians work alongside Israelis, those who chant this phrase do not want Israel to exist. It is well-known that is what this chant means.
Democrats were disgusted by Tlaib’s attempt to whitewash her support for this chant. Michigan Attorney General demanded Tlaib “retract” her “cruel and hateful” comments. Michigan Rep. Elissa Slotkin also called out Tlaib, saying the chant is one of “division & violence.”
Democrat Sen. Jacky Rosen said Tlaib is “wrong.” A growing number of Democrats are opposing Tlaib. It remains to be seen, however, if she will apologize and renounce her former statements against Israel.
