Biden Dooms the Midterms in New Proposal – As Gas Prices Soar, Joe Wants a New Tax on Oil and Gas Companies

Nearly every American has been hurt by Biden’s war on fossil fuels. Biden shut down drilling for oil and gas on federal land. That sparked a massive rise in energy and gasoline prices, which has failed to reverse.

But Biden is only getting started hurting Americans. He still refuses to reopen land, to lower energy and gas prices. Now, he is making sure prices will soar in the coming months and years. How? By proposing massive new taxes on the companies that provide you with power.

President Biden is proposing a tax on oil and gas companies, saying the energy sector is “war profiteering” and that his plan will give Americans a financial break – one week before the midterm elections…

“They’re going to pay a higher tax on their excess profits and face other restrictions,” said Biden…

“It’s time for these companies to stop war profiteering, meet their responsibilities to this country, and give the American people a break and still do very well,” the president also said.

War profiteering? Is Biden insane? His weak argument is that gas and electricity prices are so high because oil companies are “profiting” off the war in Ukraine. Um… has anyone explained to this old man how the economy works?

Prices are so high because demand is great and supply is low. And Biden is the one to blame for the low supply. Gas prices would be much lower right now if American oil companies had access to our country’s massive oil supply.

But Biden’s radical, left-wing administration is deliberately limiting oil supply, making prices go up. All so that Americans will be forced to “go green” and buy expensive electric cars they can’t afford. (Electric cars which, by the way, still need fossil fuels to be charged.)

Biden’s attempt to raise taxes on energy companies would only succeed at dramatically raising energy costs for Americans. These companies would have no choice but to increase the cost of heating your homes and fueling your cars.

And Biden’s energy secretary–along with the other socialists in his cabinet–knows this full well. It is yet another attempt to hurt working Americans and reward the rich (who are the only ones who can afford EVs).

It forces us to ask, once again, does Biden hate America?
