Blue State Pushes Insane New Law – Doing This 1 Simple Thing Could Land You in Jail

It’s a long-standing American tradition in the suburbs to enjoy some lawn care in the evening after work or on a weekend. The smell of fresh-cut grass is almost as powerful as the taste of apple pie.

Some people might not enjoy lawn care due to allergies, and there are others who are allergic to the idea of anyone enjoying a pastime that contributes to “climate change.” Breaking out the lawn mower or leaf blower may go the way of gas stoves and air conditioning units being forced out of circulation by the Biden administration.

Leftist ideologists in Washington state are now saying that everyday lawncare equipment is a threat and anyone using such devices should be punished. Use such devices and these Democrats want to put you in jail or fine you, or both.

They want to ban “gasoline-powered and diesel-powered landscaping and other outdoor power equipment.” And punishment for breaking the law would be stiff.

Violating the new law would be punishable “by a fine of not more than ten thousand dollars, or by imprisonment in the county jail for up to three hundred sixty-four days, or by both for each separate violation.”

Targeted equipment includes common lawn care tools like lawn mowers, weed whackers, pressure washers and snow blowers, among others.

The leftist ideology underneath the proposed law is obvious. The authors of the bill justified their proposed ban by arguing that outdoor power equipment is “contributing to climate change and negatively impacting public health.”

The bill states that “one hour of running a gas lawnmower can contribute as much smog-forming pollution as driving a passenger car 300 miles.” The bill would lead to prohibiting engine exhaust and evaporative emissions from new outdoor power equipment as early as Jan. 1, 2026. The bill would also lead to the state requiring businesses to replace gas or diesel-powered outdoor equipment with “zero emission landscaping equipment.”

If passed, Washington’s bill would join a ban of similar equipment in California slated for 2024 and a Washington, D.C., ordinance banning gas-powered leaf blowers which started in 2022.

Based on the Biden appliance restrictions and this new attack on lawn care equipment it appears there is nothing that leftists can’t ban by reasoning of “climate change” or “public health.” If anything falls under these two umbrellas, it could be banned.
