So, who exactly is Karoline Leavitt?

Karoline served in Trump’s administration as assistant press secretary for Kayleigh McEnany. She later worked for Rep. Elise Stefanik as director of communications.

USA Today has more on Leavitt’s background in politics:

Leavitt, 25, is a New Hampshire native. She earned her bachelor of arts degree in politics and communication from Saint Anselm College in 2019.

Prior to politics, Leavitt was a producer at WMUR-TV in Manchester, N.H., and associate producer at New Hampshire Chronicle. She was also an administrative assistant for Fox News Media, her LinkedIn profile says.

Leavitt was a presidential writer and an assistant press secretary for Kayleigh McEnany under the Trump administration.

Leavitt later became a director of communications for Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y.

In 2022, Karoline Leavitt ran for Congress and won the New Hampshire primary to become the first Republican Gen Z nominee. But, she ultimately lost the race.

CNN reported after her primary win:

Karoline Leavitt, a former aide in Donald Trump’s White House whom CNN projected would win the Republican nomination in New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District, could become one of the first members of Generation Z elected to Congress this year.

Leavitt’s victory is the latest result in the trend of Gen Z candidates running for Congress now that they are turning 25-years-old, the minimum age required to be sworn into the House.

Congratulations, Karoline!
