Dramatic photographs show high water levels surrounding their 43-acre property, leading to impassable roads and prompting alarm among local residents. Despite the challenging weather conditions, Ellen and Portia had previously expressed their fondness for the picturesque property, which combines modern luxury with traditional farmhouse charm, featuring amenities such as a swimming pool and a helicopter pad.
“It really is a beautiful house,” one source told DailyMail. “It’s so quintessentially English which as Americans they have fallen in love with, although they can forget about any glamorous southern California nightlife and weather.”
“The area itself is very quiet, some might even say boring as there’s not much to do, especially in the colder months but there are lots of celebrities in the area,” the source added.

Before the flooding, the couple was seen enjoying their new community, including a night out at a local pub owned by television personality Jeremy Clarkson, where they were entertained by the band The Corrs. Reports indicate that DeGeneres and de Rossi paid £2.5 million above the asking price to ensure they secured the desirable location, the outlet added.
