Elon Musk Speaks Out After Rumors Over Secret Trump Meeting
Elon Musk Reveals He Won’t Donate to Donald Trump, Joe Biden
Billionaire Elon Musk, who has voted for Democratic candidates in the past, has supported Republican causes since 2022.
After GOP candidate Nikki Haley suspended her campaign and former President Donald Trump is now the de facto GOP nominee, many expected Musk to come alongside Trump and help him to victory over their shared enemy, President Joe Biden.
Musk has been in an open feud with Biden for several years, following the administration’s attempts to thwart his purchase of Twitter (now X) and Musk’s criticism of intrusion on free speech and his concern over AI development and southern border policies.
Nevertheless, Musk made his donation proclivities known on Wednesday when he posted: “Just to be super clear, I am not donating money to either candidate for US President.”

Though Trump is a wealthy man, recent legal battles have taken a huge financial toll. Recent New York Court rulings against Trump and the Trump corporations have resulted in fines and penalties exceeding $400,000,000.
Musk has had financial challenges as well after taking over X and many on the left launched a “do not advertise on X” campaign. However, the Tesla/X/SpaceX CEO reportedly has a net worth of $195 billion, according to a report in CNBC.
Musk was thought to be identified by the Trump campaign as a likely top-level financial supporter. The intrepid businessman met with Trump earlier this week, along with several other potential substantial donors.
