Kash Issues Striking J6 Vow
Kash Patel Vows ‘Definitive Answer’ on J6 Question is ‘Coming,’ Says it Will ‘Surprise’ Americans
FBI Director Kash Patel announced that Americans will soon receive definitive answers about federal sources present during the January 6, 2021 Capitol riots.
The information, according to Patel, may shock the public based on previous statements from FBI leadership.
Patel addressed ongoing questions surrounding the presence of FBI sources at the Capitol on Jan. 6 during an exclusive interview on “Special Report” Wednesday.
The director stated that his agency has obtained conclusive information and is working with partners to release these findings.
“People have had questions about January 6th and whether or not there were FBI sources – not agents, sources – on the ground during January 6,” Patel said.
“And I told you I would get you the definitive answer to that. And we have, and we are in the process again of working with our partners to divulge that information, and it is coming.”
The FBI director suggested the revelations may contradict previous statements from former bureau leadership.
Patel indicated the information could “surprise and shock people because of what past FBI leaders have said about it.”
Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz released a significant report last year examining the FBI’s handling of confidential human sources and intelligence collection efforts leading up to Jan. 6, Fox News reported.
The report provided detailed information about federal involvement in the events.
26 confidential human sources were present in the crowd outside the Capitol on January 6, 2021, according to Horowitz’s findings.
Only three of these sources received specific assignments from the FBI to attend the event, however.
The inspector general’s report emphasized that none of the confidential sources received authorization or direction from the FBI to break laws or encourage illegal activities.
Patel has also committed to complete transparency regarding the federal investigation into the July 2024 assassination attempt against then-candidate Donald Trump.
During an exclusive interview with Fox News host Bret Baier, Patel addressed mounting public pressure for answers surrounding the high-profile attack that occurred in Butler, Pennsylvania.
“I don’t know that there’s more to know, but you’re going to know everything we know,” Patel stated during his appearance on Special Report.
Patel emphasized the exceptional gravity with which federal authorities approach such serious incidents involving threats against current and former presidents.
“We take assassination attempts, especially of the president of the United States, extremely seriously,” he declared during the televised interview.
The director expressed significant concern that American citizens had not received adequate information about the ongoing investigation into the shooting incident.
“And we don’t feel that the American people have been given the information they need on that,” Patel explained to the Fox News audience.
Federal investigators continue their thorough examination of all aspects of the complex case, reviewing evidence and searching for potential connections.
“And we’re digging through the files, and we’re getting them a more robust picture of what happened and whether or not there were any connections,” Patel added, indicating the comprehensive nature of the review process.
Baier systematically challenged Patel about various theories and speculation circulating widely on social media platforms and online forums, including persistent suggestions of internal sabotage designed to undermine Trump’s presidential campaign and potential foreign government interference in American electoral processes.
Patel firmly and categorically dismissed such speculation.
“That’s a great example of people looking for things where things don’t exist,” he responded with certainty.
The FBI director carefully noted that the death of the would-be assassin, Thomas Matthew Crooks, enables significantly greater transparency in this particular case compared to other active and ongoing investigations, such as the complex Merchant case currently proceeding in New York.
Trump himself has expressed doubts about the conclusions presented by federal agencies regarding the Butler assassination attempt.
Speaking candidly to Baier during a recent diplomatic trip to the Middle East region, Trump voiced his personal skepticism about current findings and official conclusions.
“We have deep-seated craziness in this country,” Trump observed during the wide-ranging interview.
The 47th president indicated that while federal officials and law enforcement personnel assured him everything appeared normal and under control, he continued to harbor significant reservations about the official narrative.
“So far… they tell me it’s fine. But it’s a little hard to believe, to be honest with you,” Trump stated with characteristic directness.
Trump specifically highlighted his confidence in key appointees within his administration, mentioning Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Patel by name, while simultaneously maintaining his personal uncertainty about existing conclusions and official reports.
“I’m relying on my people, and they’re good,” Trump acknowledged, expressing trust in his chosen officials.
“But it’s a little hard to believe, to be honest with you, okay? It’s a little bit hard to believe as I get older,” the president added.
