Leavitt Obliterates Dems Over Weekend Protests in Explosive Takedown
Karoline Leavitt Calls Out ‘Lunatic’ Democrats for Anti-Trump Protests Across the Nation
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt didn’t hold back Monday as she took aim at the Democratic Party, accusing them of being overtaken by “far-left lunatics.”
Her remarks came in response to the “Hands Off!” protests that took place in cities across the country over the weekend, denouncing President Donald Trump’s administration. Leavitt questioned how the party, now dominated by these extreme factions, could still claim to represent the American people.
The protests, which saw over 1,200 rallies nationwide, were held in all 50 states. Major demonstrations took place at the National Mall in Washington, D.C. and in various state capitals, where protesters voiced their opposition to a range of Trump administration policies.
These included efforts to reduce the size of federal agencies, implement reciprocal tariffs and reform immigration.
“The Democrat Party has been completely captivated by these far-left lunatics,” Leavitt said, slamming the protests as further evidence of the party’s shift toward radicalism, according to Fox News.
She also raised concerns over the Democratic Party’s approval ratings, which have dropped significantly, suggesting that the party’s alignment with far-left activists was alienating many Americans.
While Leavitt’s words were aimed at the political fallout, she also highlighted the disturbing rhetoric from some protesters. Referring to an incident in which a protester wished death upon President Trump, she remarked, “They not just hate him, they hate the nearly 80 million Americans who elected him.”
Leavitt’s statement was part of a broader criticism of the Democratic Party’s direction, which she labeled as “the party of crazy.” She went on to compare the Democrats’ approach to that of Republicans, asserting, “President Trump and the Republicans are the party of common sense.”
In addition to their opposition to the president’s policies, the protesters also voiced concern over the administration’s stance on programs like Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. The White House responded by reaffirming Trump’s commitment to protecting these programs for eligible beneficiaries.
A statement from the White House outlined that Trump would always safeguard these programs, contrasting it with what they described as the Democrats’ position on immigration reform, which the White House claims could bankrupt social safety nets.
Demonstrators also pushed back against Trump’s efforts to scale back diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) mandates within federal agencies and educational systems. The White House’s push to reduce the influence of DEI initiatives has been controversial, with Leavitt and other members of the administration arguing that such programs foster division, discrimination and cost taxpayers billions.
A recent report from the Goldwater Institute found that DEI mandates at public universities had incurred nearly $2 billion in taxpayer expenses.
Despite this, activists continue to advocate for more inclusive programs, arguing that the U.S. has a responsibility to offer social safety nets to marginalized groups, including members of the LGBT community and illegal immigrants. New reports from the Government Accountability Office (GAO), as reported by Fox News, reveal that the federal government has spent a staggering $236 billion in improper payments for social safety programs, raising concerns about the effectiveness and management of these initiatives.
