Musk Backstabs Trump in Shocking Reversal
Musk Agrees With Calls for Trump to be Impeached
In a move that has sent shockwaves throughout the political world, tech mogul and former Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) head Elon Musk has turned his back on President Donald Trump.
The Trump-Musk feud began as a result of Elon’s strong disappointment and opposition to the “One Big Beautiful Bill” that House Republicans passed last month, which the president is a strong supporter of.
The tech mogul, who serves as DOGE chief and an advisor to Trump, expressed his strong disappointment with the president over the legislation in a slew of posts on X.
In one such post, conservative commentator Ian Miles Cheong called for the president to be impeached and for Vice President J.D. Vance to assume the duties of the presidency.
Musk responded to Cheong’s post with one word: “Yes.”
Musk’s ongoing war of words with the president began on Wednesday, when the X CEO issued a scathing rebuke of the legislation.
“This spending bill contains the largest increase in the debt ceiling in US history! It is the Debt Slavery Bill,” Musk said.
Upon hearing news of Musk’s displeasure, Trump told reporters that he was “disappointed” with the tech mogul and said that he would have won Pennsylvania in the 2024 presidential election regardless of Musk.
“I would have won Pennsylvania regardless of Elon…I’m very disappointed with Elon. He knew this bill better than anyone and he only developed a problem when he found out I would cut the EV mandate…” the president said.
In response, Musk said that, without him, Trump would not have won the 2024 election.
“Without me, Trump would have lost the election, Dems would control the House and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate,” Musk fired back.
“Such ingratitude,” he added, referring to Trump’s comments.
Following Musk’s fiery anti-Trump comments, the president took to Truth Social, where he claimed that the best way to reduce the federal deficit was to slash Musk’s government contracts and subsidies.
“The easiest way to save money in our Budget, Billions and Billions of Dollars, is to terminate Elon’s Governmental Subsidies and Contracts. I was always surprised that Biden didn’t do it!” Trump wrote.

Despite Musk’s fierce opposition and criticism, Trump remained defiant in his support of the bill, calling it “one of the Greatest.”
“I don’t mind Elon turning against me, but he should have done so months ago. This is one of the Greatest Bills ever presented to Congress. It’s a Record Cut in Expenses, $1.6 Trillion Dollars, and the Biggest Tax Cut ever given,” the president said.
“If this Bill doesn’t pass, there will be a 68% Tax Increase, and things far worse than that. I didn’t create this mess, I’m just here to FIX IT. This puts our Country on a Path of Greatness. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” he went on.

Musk’s comments on Wednesday and Thursday about the president are a stark contrast to previous words he has said about Trump.
In March, the tech mogul said he loved Trump.
“The more I’ve gotten to know President Trump, the more I like the guy. Frankly, I love him,” Musk said at the time.
