Red Hot AOC Scandal
AOC Caught Exiting Private Jet on Earth Day While Promoting Anti-Elite Tour
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) faces mounting criticism after being spotted disembarking from a luxury private jet on Earth Day, directly contradicting her environmental platform and previous condemnations of private air travel by the wealthy.
The New York Democrat, alongside Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), was captured on video stepping off a Bombardier Challenger jet between campaign stops in California while promoting their “Fight the Oligarchy” tour.
The footage quickly sparked accusations of hypocrisy.
The private aircraft reportedly costs approximately $15,000 per hour to charter, raising questions about Ocasio-Cortez’s commitment to climate advocacy and her frequent criticism of America’s wealthiest citizens.
The timing of the flight couldn’t have been more unfortunate for the progressive congresswoman.
Earth Day, observed annually on April 22, is dedicated to environmental protection and sustainability; values that Ocasio-Cortez has consistently championed throughout her political career.
The “Fight the Oligarchy” tour, launched by Ocasio-Cortez and Sanders in February, aims to promote progressive policies including Medicare for All, higher taxes on wealthy Americans and campaign finance reform.
The nationwide campaign has drawn significant crowds, with reported attendance of 36,000 in Los Angeles and 34,000 in Denver.
Ocasio-Cortez’s travel choices have provided ammunition to critics who question whether her lifestyle aligns with her public messaging despite the tour’s apparent popularity among progressive voters.
This latest controversy echoes previous statements made by the congresswoman herself.
Trending Politics reported that in 2023, Ocasio-Cortez specifically condemned the use of private jets by CEOs, describing such behavior as “insatiable” and “unacceptable.”
Now, those same words are being used against her by critics pointing out the apparent contradiction.
This isn’t the first time Ocasio-Cortez’s travel arrangements have drawn scrutiny.
The outlet further noted that in February 2022, she was photographed flying first class on an American Airlines flight from Austin to New York City, prompting similar questions about consistency between her populist messaging and personal choices.
A March investigation into Ocasio-Cortez’s office expenses raised questions about her use of taxpayer funds, according to claims.
The shocking allegations TTOA previously reported on first surfaced when X account user Paul A. Syzpula published findings from his review of the congresswoman’s expense records.
Syzpula’s review of expenditure documents claimed that the congresswoman employed 22 staff members between October and December 2024, with a reported cost of nearly half a million dollars.
Syzpula’s investigation also revealed Ocasio-Cortez’s office allegedly spent $850 on “training” from a dance company, $4550 for more training paid to Juan D Gonzalez and $3,384 at a Mexican restaurant in Virginia.
Democrat darling Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) also came under fire around that time for her spending habits, with disbursement records allegedly showing she charged taxpayers approximately $1,000 monthly for a car lease.
Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) faced criticism last year over expense reports that allegedly included childcare costs, meals at Four Seasons steakhouses and accommodations at the Burj Al-Arab in Dubai.
