Florida governor Ron DeSantis fired back at Gavin Newsom after the California governor challenged DeSantis to a debate. Ron said:

“I don’t know if they can reliably keep the power on so you go all the way up there and have a debate and then what ends up happening if they can’t keep the lights on? So, you know, we’re happy with what we’re doing. 

“You know what I will do though, Sean, my actions speak louder than my words. There are certain people that will preen and do that, I understand, but we get things done in Florida,” he said.

Gavin said:

“Hey @GovRonDeSantis, clearly you’re struggling, distracted, and busy playing politics with people’s lives.

“Since you have only one overriding need — attention –let’s take this up & debate. I’ll bring my hair gel. You bring your hairspray. Name the time before Election Day. @CNN”

Ron said earlier about Biden: “He didn’t scramble to get his cabinet together when you had 43, 53 migrants die in some trailer in Texas because they were neglected by the federal government.

“You didn’t see him scrambled to get his Cabinet together when we had Americans that were victimized by criminal aliens that you had across the border.

“You didn’t see him scrambling to get his Cabinet together when we hit record fentanyl deaths, which that fentanyl is coming across his open border.

“It’s only when you have 50 illegal aliens end up in a very wealthy rich sanctuary enclave that he decides to scramble on this.

“And so instead of scrambling and worrying about a bunch of rich people, and having 50– and oh, by the way, they already bussed them out. They’re gone.

“They said we want everyone, no one’s illegal, and they’re gone within 48 hours.

“Biden would fly people in the middle of the night, dump them all across this country, there was no warning on any of this. They’re doing it and they’re farming people out all around.

“They are also doing things like — so, you know, we’ve had people right on the border helping working ways, they were dumped in San Antonio and these people have, you know, they’re basically just there, and a lot of them end up migrating to different parts. 

“We take what’s happening at the southern border very seriously, unlike some, unlike the president of the United States who has refused to lift a finger to secure that border.

“We are not a sanctuary state. It’s better to be able to go to a sanctuary jurisdiction, and, yes, we will help facilitate that transport for you to be able to go to greener pastures.”
