Shock Texts Pete Hegseth’s Accuser Sent Friend on Night of Alleged Sexual Assault Revealed
A series of revealing text messages have emerged in the Pete Hegseth sexual assault case, showing that his accuser expressed concerns about his behavior hours before the alleged incident at a California Republican convention in 2017.
The messages, obtained exclusively by Daily Mail, show the accuser–identified only as Jane Doe–describing the former Fox News presenter as someone who “creeps me out” due to wearing a ring on his pointer finger.
She later referred to him as a “tool” in messages to a male associate.

The alleged assault occurred at the California Federation of Republican Women’s 40th Biennial convention in Monterey, where Hegseth was the keynote speaker.
A 23-page Monterey Police Department report highlighted that the incident began after a banquet and subsequent afterparty in the Presidential Suite of the Hyatt Regency Hotel.
The accuser reported drinking champagne at the afterparty before joining a group at Knuckles Sports Bar, where she admitted consuming “much more than normal alcoholic beverages throughout the day.”
Multiple witnesses reported seeing Hegseth exhibiting concerning behavior, with one woman claiming she needed to use the accuser as a “crotch blocker” to deter Hegseth’s advances.
The police report details the accuser’s fragmented memories of the evening, including an argument with Hegseth by the pool and later finding herself in a hotel room with no recollection of how she got there.
The funniest part of the police report on the (completely laughable) allegation against Pete Hegseth is the woman referring to Hegseth is "TDB lite" and "TDB mini" then "TDB tooooooooool" in texts to her husband the night of the incident. oof, that hurts. pic.twitter.com/sXpoS2aav4

She reported saying “no” multiple times and remembered Hegseth’s dog tags “hovering over her face.”
Hotel staff corroborated parts of the account, with one employee reporting an attempt to intervene in a poolside argument, only to be cursed at by Hegseth.
The accuser reportedly apologized for his behavior and escorted him away from the pool.
Daily Mail explained that at the time of the incident, Hegseth had been divorced from his second wife for approximately one month and had recently become a father to an infant with Jennifer Rauchet, a Fox & Friends executive producer.
While Hegseth admitted to the encounter, he maintained it was consensual, telling police he “continuously asked Jane Doe if she was okay because he did not want Jane Doe to get in trouble.”
He noted observing “early signs of regret” as she left, though did not elaborate on what these signs were.
Although the Monterey County Attorney’s Office declined to bring charges after reviewing the case, Hegseth later admitted to paying the accuser to prevent a lawsuit that could have jeopardized his position at Fox News.
Daily Mail noted that his attorney, Timothy Parlatore, has characterized the situation as “successful extortion,” claiming Hegseth was “falsely accused” and was actually “the victim of blackmail.”
Tim Parlatore, Hegseth’s legal counsel, recently revealed in an explosive interview that surveillance footage and eyewitness accounts paint a dramatically different picture from what was initially reported.
“[Hegseth] is completely and totally innocent. It was completely investigated. She was the aggressor,” Parlatore declared, TTOA previously reported.
Parlatore explained that Hegseth was allegedly led to his room by a sober woman who later became his accuser.

“The police honestly, when they looked at it, even though she was the one that reported it, when they looked at the video, they considered charging her,” Parlatore stated.
