Top Dem Embroiled in Shocking Scandal
Pete Buttigieg Embroiled in Major Scandal: Report
Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg overruled dozens of safety warnings about windmill projects built dangerously close to highways and train tracks, according to a bombshell report from the New York Post.
At least 33 recommendations were ignored between 2023 and 2024, a current department official said, clearing the way for turbines that could disrupt emergency and transportation communications.
Internal documents show the Commerce Department’s National Telecommunications Information Administration warned one Illinois project that turbines within one to three miles of rail lines could pose “an undue risk” to train communications.
That warning was reversed without explanation after a 45-day review.
The Commerce Department later withdrew the Transportation Department’s objection, with no justification offered.
“DOT continues to review and analyze the potential for harmful interference,” the Biden administration wrote in a January 2024 letter.
The letter also claimed the agency “reserves the right to make setback recommendations” later. However, the damage had already been done, as Trending Politics reported.
The decision to override warnings came as the Biden administration ramped up green energy subsidies under the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act, with credits worth hundreds of billions of dollars.
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy is now investigating the placement of these wind farms.
“Joe Biden and Pete Buttigieg put climate religion ahead of safety — blatantly ignoring engineers who warned of the danger of constructing wind turbines near railroads and highways,” he said.
Duffy announced immediate changes to federal regulations to prevent a repeat of what he called “a pattern” of recklessness.
The updated regulations will require turbines to be built at least 1.2 miles from critical infrastructure.
The new standard is based on an independent study showing interference with radio communications used in transportation systems.
The New York Post also reported that an additional 140 wind projects were pushed through during Buttigieg’s tenure without any safety review at all.
A department official said it’s still unclear how many of those fall within the new safety buffer zone.
This growing scandal is breaking as Buttigieg positions himself for a 2028 presidential run.
Recent polling has shown him as a top contender for the Democratic nomination, with strong showings in both Atlas Intel and Emerson College polls. But Buttigieg’s past continues to shadow him.
He’s polling poorly among black voters, a group critical to winning South Carolina — the first state in the Democratic primary. His 2020 campaign already faced criticism over racial issues, and analysts say this controversy could compound his problems.
The ignored warnings about radio interference aren’t just technicalities.
Experts had flagged the projects as potential hazards to communication systems used in transportation. Instead of addressing those concerns, Buttigieg’s department pushed ahead, then backtracked on its own findings.
The Biden administration has not explained why the safety concerns were dropped. Buttigieg has also stayed silent since the Post report.
“That’s why I’m immediately implementing a higher standard of safety,” Duffy said.
He also warned that more revelations may still come.
Pete Buttigieg OVERRULED safety recommendations about putting up wind turbines near railroads, highways, and aviation sites- all in the name of his GREEN AGENDA SCAM.
