Trump Assassination Plot: Bombshell Evidence Just Uncovered
Trump’s Would-Be-Shooter Was Building a Bomb Before July 13 Attack
Newly released emails show that Thomas Matthew Crooks, the 20-year-old who attempted to assassinate President Donald Trump, was also in the process of building a bomb in the months leading up to the July 13, 2024, attack.
Crooks shot Trump in the right ear and killed two others during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
The FBI obtained access to encrypted emails revealing Crooks had ordered over two gallons of nitromethane, a chemical often used in explosives, from an online retailer.
Twelve days after placing the order, Crooks followed up with an inquiry asking why the shipment had not yet arrived, identifying himself by name and timestamping the message.
“Hello, my name is Thomas,” he wrote on January 31, 2024, per CBS News. “I have not received any updates of the order shipping out yet.”

Investigators were able to access his account because the email was tied to his Community College of Allegheny County student address, per the Daily Mail.
Crooks had been studying at the community college and was preparing applications to transfer to a four-year institution to study engineering.
Hundreds of emails from his college account showed a student who maintained regular contact with professors and expressed enthusiasm about school and the fall season.
In one email, Crooks asked a professor if he could bring only two or three adults to a class presentation that required five, saying he only had access to his parents and sister.
A professor who taught Crooks, Patricia Thompson, told investigators: “It’s sad that he had so much promise and he chose to do this.”
The FBI investigation, which included statements from former Trump officials Kash Patel and Dan Bongino, confirmed that Crooks was not tied to a foreign plot.
Despite this, online speculation had circulated suggesting Crooks was part of a broader international conspiracy to stop Trump before the 2024 election.
On the day of the rally, Crooks was found positioned on top of a nearby building with an AR-15 rifle and crouched only a few hundred feet from the stage.
He managed to fire eight shots toward Trump from less than 150 yards before being taken out by counter-snipers.
A Senate investigation released this week found that multiple U.S. Secret Service failures allowed Crooks to get the shot off.
Technical problems disabled the drones intended to monitor the rally, and the agent managing them had only three months of experience.
To restore service, the agent had to call a toll-free tech support number, and there were no backup systems in place.
The bipartisan report stated the errors were “foreseeable, preventable, and directly related to the events resulting in the assassination attempt that day.”
Crooks was killed before he could inflict more harm, but the incident raised serious questions about security protocols for high-profile political events.
JUST IN: Man who shot President Trump was designing a BOMB months before the shooting, CBS reports.
