UPDATE: President of Popular Californian Burger Chain Announces Her Family & Company HQ Are LEAVING the State
UPDATE: Noah here, and the great folks over at In-n-Out contacted us asking us to post some corrections and clarifications to this article, which I am happy to do.
From the company:
-In-N-Out is not moving out of California
-In-N-Out is not moving its corporate headquarters to Tennessee. To support our growth, In-N-Out is expanding with an Eastern Territory Office in Tennessee in addition to the original Baldwin Park office.
-Where Lynsi raises her family has nothing to do with her love and appreciation for our Customers in California. She is excited about In-N-Outโs expansion in a different part of the U.S. that will support the companyโs growth and how this move will provide In-N-Out Associates with wonderful opportunities to buy a home, raise a family, and be a part of In-N-Outโs expansion.
Original post follows:
Californiaโs corrupt Democrat government is driving away both people and business.
As the great California exodus continues, with citizens fleeing to other states like Texas and Florida in droves, the president of the stateโs most popular burger chain has just announced that she is done.
In-n-Out President Lynsi Snyder recently spoke to journalist Allie Beth Stuckey about the reasons she is moving her family out of California and relocating her fast food chainโs headquarters to Tennessee.
Watch what she had to say for yourself here:
In-n-Out President Lynsi Snyder reveals for the first time that she and her family are LEAVING California for Tennessee. โRaising a family is not easy here,โ she told me. โDoing business is not easy here.โ
After 77 years, In-n-Out HQ will say goodbye to its home state and set up shop in Franklin. The granddaughter of the fast food chainโs founders, Snyder is staying true to the companyโs Christian foundation while expanding its reach.
Our conversation was fascinating. Lynsi shares the untold story of In-n-Outโs early years and the hardship she went through before becoming the successful business leader she is. Her journey to Jesus is raw and redemptive. You will be so encouraged.
For those who prefer to read, hereโs a full transcript:
Lynsi Snyder: Weโre building an office in Franklin, so Iโm actually moving out there.
Allie Beth Stuckey: And how do you feel about that? Youโre like a California girl, through and through, right?
Lynsi Snyder: Yeah. I mean, I really loved living in Northern California, and Iโm so thankful that I grew up up there because I think it changed a lot of who I am today. I think I would be different if I was raised in Southern California.
But like you said, thereโs a lot of great things about California, but raising a family is not easy here. Doing business is not easy here. Now, the bulk of our stores are still going to be here in California, but it will be wonderful having an office out there, growing out there. Totally. And being able to have the family and other peopleโs families out there. And so in that, itโs two part. Weโll have everybody under one roof here in Walton Park, and weโll close our fine.
Allie Beth Stuckey: Okay. Thatโs a big transition. And thatโs happening in the next few years, right?
Lynsi Snyder: Yeah. Weโve Weโre giving it a longer runway so that itโs smoother for everybody so they can plan and all of that. And we gave them a lot of notice because we love them and we want to make it as easy as possible. But by 2030, weโll close the Irvine office.
Allie Beth Stuckey: Okay. Okay. So at one point you said that within your lifetime, if you draw a line from Texas, everything to the left, you want in and out there, but not maybe to the right of the line. And you talked about just the importance of the novelty of in and out, that you liked when someone comes into town where thereโs an in and out, theyโre like, โI got to go there,โ which is totally true. Thatโs what people do, by the way. Iโm guessing, though, since youโre going to be to the right of that line, that youโre probably going to be opening up in and outs there. So what does the strategy look like? Has it changed?
Lynsi Snyder: Well, itโs funny. I think Kid Rock, his name is Bob. I think heโs the one that actually drew the new map, and he put the line up from Texas, grabbed Tennessee, went around Tennessee, and back up. Iโm like, yeah, thatโs howโฆ.
So I think for me, itโs the same heart. Itโs just, I guess I would say, a man plans in his ways and God makes his steps. So we had a plan, and then he snuck that in there. And I think Florida has begged us, and weโre still saying no. The East Coast states, weโre still saying no.
Weโre able to reach Tennessee from our Texas warehouse. So weโre not putting our whole meat facility where we do all of our own beef and send it to our stores, make patties. Weโre not going to have that there. Have a warehouse, but not do our own meat there. So weโll be able to deliver from Texas. So Texas can reach some other states, you know?
