Vance Family Targeted in Frightening Moment
JD Vance Says Pro-Ukraine Protesters Stalked Him and His Daughter
Vice President JD Vance recently reported an unsettling encounter with pro-Ukraine protesters while walking with his 3-year-old daughter.
The incident occurred near his home in Cincinnati, Ohio, where a group of demonstrators had gathered to voice their opposition to the administration’s recent policies regarding Ukraine.
Vance took to social media to describe the event, stating that a group of “Slava Ukraini” protesters followed him and his daughter, shouting and causing the child to become “increasingly anxious and scared.”
Today while walking my 3 year old daughter a group of “Slava Ukraini” protesters followed us around and shouted as my daughter grew increasingly anxious and scared.

I decided to speak with the protesters in the hopes that I could trade a few minutes of conversation for them…
In an attempt to defuse the situation, Vance decided to engage with the protesters, hoping to exchange a few minutes of conversation for them to leave his toddler alone.
The vice president reported that the conversation was “mostly respectful,” with nearly all of the protesters agreeing to his request.
However, Vance expressed his disapproval of the protesters’ tactics, stating, “If you’re chasing a 3-year-old as part of a political protest, you’re a s**t person.”
This incident follows a series of protests targeting Vance in the wake of a controversial Oval Office meeting between President Donald Trump, Vance, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The meeting, which took place on Feb. 28, 2025, resulted in a heated exchange that was broadcast worldwide, leading to international condemnation, per the Post Millennial.
During the meeting, Vance accused Zelensky of lacking gratitude towards the United States. Vance said, “Offer some words of appreciation for the United States of America and the president who’s trying to save your country.” Zelensky responded by questioning Vance’s approach to diplomacy with Russia.
The confrontation at the White House centered around diplomatic efforts with Russia and the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
Vance argued that the path to peace might involve diplomatic talks with Russia, emphasizing the importance of U.S. commitment to diplomacy.
In the aftermath of this diplomatic incident, the U.S. has withdrawn support from Ukraine, prompting Russia to intensify its attacks on the country.
This shift in policy has sparked demonstrations in support of Ukraine across Europe and in Washington, D.C..
Vance faced similar protests during a family vacation in Vermont. Hundreds of protesters demonstrated against his visit to Sugarbush Resort, less than 24 hours after his tense exchange with Zelensky.
The protesters carried signs calling Vance “Nazi scum,” accusing him of being a “traitor,” and telling him to “go ski in Russia”.
One protester held a sign that read, “Vance is a traitor, go ski in Russia.” Tekla Van Hoven of Waterbury remarked, “He should vacation in Russia because JD has no friends in Vermont but plenty in Russia.”
Vermont Gov. Phil Scott (D) urged the public to be “respectful” toward Vance and his family during their visit. However, this did not deter locals from gathering in significant numbers to voice their disapproval of the Vice President’s recent actions
