After DOJ Suffers Major Court Defeat – The Supreme Court Just Got a High-Priority Appeal

Democrats have been fighting to force abortion on all fifty states. They haven’t gotten the memo that the Dobbs decision gave the states the right to pass pro-life laws. Instead, Biden and the left have been pushing ways to make abortion the only option for some Americans.

The left was outraged when a Texas federal judge outlawed mifepristone the first of two drugs used to induce abortions. Biden quickly appealed the decision, but an appeals court kept most of the restrictions in place. So now Biden–desperate to get this poison in the hands of pregnant women–is taking it to the highest court in the land.

President Biden is appealing a federal appeals court decision that places a partial restriction on the availability of abortion pills to the U.S. Supreme Court.

On Wednesday, the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans ruled 2-1 to keep the abortion drug mifepristone available only to be dispensed up to seven weeks, not 10, and not by mail. The decision partially overturned a ruling by a Texas judge that put a nationwide halt on the Food and Drug Administration’s more than 20-year-old approval of the abortion pill.

I don’t know what Biden is thinking. This is the same Supreme Court which, just last year, overturned Roe v. Wade. Does the DOJ really think the conservative-leaning court is going to pass a rule that overrides a decision it just made?

But that was Biden’s last attempt at preserving the “abortion pill” which includes a drug that is considered harmful to a woman who uses it. The case against mifepristone argues that FDA was pressured to approve it in 2000–by abortion activists.

The drug’s dangers were overlooked in a mad dash to get more babies aborted. The original ruling revoked the FDA’s approval, given twenty years of evidence that suggest the drug is harmful.

Would Democrats really fight for a drug that could put women in harm’s way? Yes, yes they would. This is the same party that says killing an unborn baby is a “woman’s right.” The same party that would legalize abortion on demand and post-birth abortion if they could.

Why would they care about the possibility that mifepristone might harm a woman who takes it?

We can’t predict what the Supreme Court does. It might refuse to hear this case. Or the court could rule in favor of legalizing mifepristone for everyone.

But considering men like Clarence Thomas are calling the shots… I wouldn’t count on it.
