Senior White House and Biden campaign officials are reportedly concerned that the Colorado Supreme Court’s Tuesday ruling barring former President Donald Trump from the state’s ballot will help Biden’s rival while hurting the president’s 2024 campaign message.

It turns out top Biden staffers are worried that the move to bar Trump from appearing on primary ballots will backfire. They have claimed that the court’s decision will convince people that “Colorado is attempting election interference through non-elected Democratic-appointed justices with funding from ‘shady left-wing donors.”

Which is what many Republicans are already saying. The state’s liberal-run Supreme Court accused Trump of staging an “insurrection,” despite any court of law convicting him of such a crime. Many believe their decision was politically motivated and not based on fact.

Already people are slamming the decision and blaming Democrats for it. That could result in voters who were previously on the fence to side with Trump, who has long accused Democrats of rigging the system against him.

Other liberal critics have stated that this move will embolden Trump supporters. They fear the former president will only use this situation to further his agenda, giving him more momentum as the country moves toward the election.

Biden is not helping his case, either. He continues to accuse Trump of “supporting” an insurrection, despite any court convicting him of that. Democrats must certainly fear Biden’s own words making the situation worse.

The Democrat is suffering terrible approval numbers, with key demographics abandoning him months before the election.
