Biden-Linked Dem Suddenly Faces FBI Investigation – Blue State Leader Accused of 1 Big-Money Scheme
The FBI launched an investigation into a Democrat mayor who loves to play it big in the public eye and has even shmoozed with Joe Biden in D.C. The small-town mayor drew the attention of the federal agency after complaints about how she’s running her city.
Complaints are swirling that Dolton, Illinois, Mayor Tiffany Henyard has used her position to harass business owners who don’t support her. The complaints also say that she is misusing taxpayer dollars to support her heavy-handed authority and extravagant tendencies.
The amount of money Henyard spends has come under fire as she proudly promoted herself chatting with Biden during a visit to the White House in January. She was there with a host of other mayors. Henyard’s spending habits have been exposed as she regularly promotes herself on social media.
From Fox News:
Fox News Digital previously reported that Henyard has been living like a royal with a combined salary of nearly $300,000 — more than the state’s governor — and frequent use of beauty vendors, despite the 23,000 residents of the Illinois town having a median income of $24,000. Henyard has also come under fire for various tirades in public meetings, accusing her critics among local leaders of “beating and attacking on a Black woman that’s in power.”
Her race-baiting antics haven’t stopped Dolton residents from speaking out against her. Business owners have stepped up and asked for help from the FBI.
Lawrence Gardner, a Dolton-based U-Haul rental and trucking business owner, sought help from the FBI out of frustration. He said the Village of Dolton refused to renew his business license and he attributed the action to his refusal to donate to an event favored by Henyard. He claims that Dolton police have harassed him by raiding his business and shutting it down.
Restaurant owner Dewayne Wood has struggled to renew his business license for almost a year. He believes the problems stem from him providing catering services to Henyard’s political opponents.
“I’ve heard rumors that say, hey I’m on the wrong team,” Wood said. “I think I’ve been targeted because of my association, affiliation with a certain group of people. The trustees. I’ve cooked for the trustees.”
Dolton Trustee Jason House stated that members of the Board of Trustees have repeatedly questioned the mayor’s spending of taxpayer dollars.
“We welcome any investigation that will bring transparency on how taxpayer dollars are being spent,” House stated. “Our residents deserve this level of financial transparency.”
Henyard’s public relations firm denied any contact by the FBI and the agency would not confirm an investigation, per its policy.
People who attain positions of power are charged with great responsibility when they control public money. If they waiver from their responsibilities, they can cause serious problems for themselves and the people they serve.
