Biden’s Washington Swamp Closet Swings Wide Open – Insiders Claim the President Was ‘Furious’ Over the Southern Border Surge

A few weeks ago, President Joe Biden received a lot of flak for saying he had “more important things” to think about than the border crisis.

Millions of Americans consider the southern border situation to be a massive problem, as the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) reported historic numbers throughout much of 2022.

However, an inside report from Washington shows that in fact, Biden might be just as angry with the situation.

Southern state leaders and Republican politicos have lambasted the Biden administration for being too lax about the border crisis. Some say the government has done nothing to fix the problem.

This has resulted in Texas and Arizona opting to build their own border barrier and has sparked numerous lawsuits and heavy scrutiny.

But during the first six months of Biden’s term, it seems the President was furious at the lack of action taken at the border. This is according to a new book by Chris Whipple, The Fight of His Life: Inside Joe Biden’s White House.

Via Washington Examiner:

President Joe Biden was reportedly furious about the surge of immigrants illegally crossing the southern border during the first months of his administration, making him angrier than any other policy issue.

‘Illegal immigrants kept arriving. And Biden was furious,’ Whipple wrote, according to a copy of the book obtained by the Hill.

‘From all over the West Wing, you could hear the president cursing, dropping f-bombs (he’d always apologize when women were present).’

This may run counter to the common view held by many citizens: that Biden never cared what was happening with illegal immigration.

In the book, Whipple writes that Biden was especially annoyed at the lack of solutions. And now we’re almost two years into his tenure, and the numbers remain disturbingly high across the board.

In the last fiscal year, border authorities reported over 2 million encounters, a significant rise from 2021. And experts say it’ll go even higher in 2023.

Additionally, a senior adviser reportedly said that there was a “targeting” of Vice President Kamala Harris.

By making her the “border czar,” Biden might’ve set her up for failure. On top of that, the adviser claimed Republicans supported it because it would prove the criticisms of her job performance were well-founded:

I think there is a definite targeting of the vice president that has nothing to do with her assignment.

And it has everything to do with who she is and the desire by some in the right wing to make her gone.

In regards to Harris, many contend that she never did anything to address the border crisis. And that obviously reflected poorly on the President himself.

As a result, he may have been venting his frustration with Harris’ inability – or unwillingness – to work on the issue. Or it could just be that he was angry that his border policies simply weren’t working.

At the time, he’d moved to ditch the Trump-era “Remain in Mexico” policy, which immediately kicked off a massive surge of illegal migration.

Now Republicans are going after homeland security boss Alejandro Mayorkas, demanding he resign. In short, the entire situation is a colossal mess.

But strangely enough, this report makes it sound as if Biden is – or at least was – furious that the crisis existed, and that nothing was being done to fix it. It certainly isn’t what many expected to hear.

Key Takeaways:
